The Vietnam War Memorial was also on Scott's must-see list -- he had a history teacher who told him about seeing the Memorial and a Smithsonian exhibit of artifacts left at the Memorial over the years. Unfortunately, the Museum of American History, which houses that exhibit, is undergoing renovations which won't be completed until September -- so the museum was closed.
