We drove to Yokosuka Naval Base on Wednesday, May 20th, for Bruce's IV infusion. It's still almost unbelievable to us that he's able to get this treatment on the base, but he is and it's a tremendous blessing.
We decided to drive, rather than take the train or the shuttle from the hospital at Yokota, so we could visit Elder and Sister Thunell, who are the Military Relations missionaries at Yokosuka. We met up with them after Bruce's treatment was finished and just had a great visit, sharing what we're each doing with our assignments. They've been in Japan only a month longer than we have, and we're picking their brains and trying to learn from their experiences. We look forward to seeing them regularly -- they want to get up our way and visit us here, too.

Uhhhh why does Dad have an IV in his arm!?
It's his infusion treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. He looks pretty happy, makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Are the TV programs in English? Is it AFN TV?
I still think it's a miracle he can get those done on base! You're so meant to be there! -Angela
