Getting Our Bearings....

Okay, we'll see if this works. The Higashifussa Station is the train station nearest our apartment. There is a larger, main Fussa Station, but this smaller one is an easy walk for us of maybe ten minutes. I have not been able to enter our address on Google Earth and get anywhere, but I got the train station. Now go north and a bit west to a relatively large building with a reddish roof -- see it?

Here's a larger view of the reddish roofed building. Go directly west one block. On the corner is an apartment building with something funny looking and greenish on the roof. That's our apartment building. On the roof is artificial turf and a children's play area.

Closer view of the apartment building --

And the front view of the building. Our apartment is ground level, left side.
Our parking garage is further left.

Here's the playground on the roof.

With the sister missionaries making good use of it!

And here's the view from said roof, on a gray day. The steeple to our chapel is just left of center, on the horizon. We're told that on a clear day we can see (not forever, unfortunately) Mt. Fuji, but we haven't timed it well enough to enjoy that view just yet.

We're getting our bearings on base, as well, just by driving around and figuring things out. Bruce is getting more comfortable driving on the left side of the street; I haven't even tried yet. We've gotten acquainted with the housing areas on base and done a little visiting, we'll continue to do that along with the young elders and sisters as part of the ward's mission plan.
