Random Things

Just outside the door of our apartment, so pretty!

We have the Yokosuka Naval Base hospital on our GPS, but when we had to drive there for Bruce's infusion treatment, I decided to print the maps and directions, just to see if it would help me get my bearings a little better and get a feeling for the lay of the land. Not! How would you like to follow directions like these? Thank goodness for the GPS!

We visited with Elder and Sister Thunell (pronounced Tuh-NELL -- or ToeNail, as they like to say) after Bruce's treatment and went to a nearby acquariam, called "Sea Paradise". http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3213.html  Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera, so no pictures. The show included dolphins, porpoises, and beluga whales (there was also a very big shark in the tank, but he didn't do anything except look scary).  In the states, at parks like Sea World, I don't think the trainers get into the water with the animals anymore, since an incident a few years ago when a trainer was drowned by an orca. But here they did; two trainers riding the beluga whales, and their tricks were very impressive. It was entertaining and happy -- I hope the animals are well treated and have very large tanks to live in when they're not performing!

Elder Adamson, hard at work preparing his talk for sacrament meeting tomorrow.

Beautiful Tokyo skies!

Pictures just do not do justice to how cute these Japanese children are.
This little girl is on her way to school in her school uniform.

The harvest!
