Bruce's creativity and craftsmanship have been put to good use in turning my piano studio into a guest bedroom. He purchased the hardware from a company in St. George, Utah (Wilding Wallbeds or something like that, if anyone's interested) and then built this beautiful case. It takes up a lot of space in the rather small room, but it works! So well, in fact, that Lem and Laura, who were among the first guests to use it, are now thinking about putting a piano in their bedroom!

Wow!!! Way to go Dad!!! It even has the can lights! :) I like that he stained it to match the piano. I've always wanted all the woodwork in my living room to match my piano. Now I know I just need to ask Dad to build it. :) Beautiful work!
Mom! Thank you so much for posting all these pictures! It really is amazing how pictures make you feel so connected with everything still! It looks beautiful - and it will no doubt be put to good use! Dad's pretty much amazing ... :) Oh - and a side note. Even after you publish a post, you can still go back and edit it if you make a typo or something. Just fyi. :) Love you!
Good to know. But how?
Sometimes my computer shows a little pencil mark at the end of the post right next to the link for comments. If that doesn't show up though, then go to "customize" at the top right corner if you are signed in, and click on postings, then edit posts. You can choose any of the previous ones you've done and make revisions to them. Hope this helps! Love ya!
I love Dad's step by step demo. Nice. We cannot wait to see you!! I had my final check ride today - I am T-1 and pilot training complete.
Bruce if I have a wall without sheetrock and plan to add a Murphy bed is there blocking I should add? If so where? Did you use a router or a shaper for the styles and panels? What size of arbor do you prefer on a shaper? Would you recommend a sliding table on the shaper? Does a power feed increase the quality of the shaper projects? Do you know why some shapers now have tilting arbors?
