I Love to See the Temple

We seem to be enjoying summer thunderstorm season, which makes for some beautiful skies and cloud formations

This building is the Temple Annex, right next door to the temple. It house the Tokyo South Stake (English speaking) presidency offices, the Tokyo 1st Ward, and hostel type accommodations for temple patrons. The temple was built around 1980 and this building dates back to about that time. It's scheduled to be torn down and replaced by a large, two-chapel, three-story meetinghouse with two levels of underground parking. The temple will be renovated and updated at the same time -- this project will begin after the Sapporo Temple is finished and dedicated. We're already planning a trip back to Japan to see it completed in, oh, five years or so..... :-)

Temple Annex sign (that's an apartment building behind it.

Landscaping in front of the temple.

Bruce enjoying the view.

This angle is the only way to get a picture of the temple without all the power lines!

And here I'm just having fun with Google Earth.
